Kochi 02 – Munnar 02 – Alleppey 01 – Trivandrum (Kovalam) 02

+Day 1 ~ Arrive KOCHI (Old Name Cochin)

(In flight time to be advised) in ‘Kochi’ Old Name (Cochin), you will be met and transferred to your hotel for checkin.

+Day 2 ~ KOCHI tour (B)

9am. After breakfast, we take you for sightseeing of Kochi. We begin thru one of the oldest street of Fort Kochi Princes Street. Here you can witness a perfect blend of new and old colonial era, as the street is home to British, Portuguese, and Dutch era architecture visible everywhere from local residences, shops to cafés. Later witness how local fisherman use traditional Chinese Fishing Nets for fishing. We continue tour and visit inside 1500 built Santa Cruz Basilica and St Francis Church renowned world-over as the oldest European church in India. Later continue your sightseeing tour as we visit inside Portuguese Dutch Palace locally called Mattancherry Palace (from outside). Next, we visit the famed Jew Town area to explore one of the world’s oldest existing Jewish Synagogue (from outside). In Jew Town, we also visit The Spice Markets where shopkeepers explain you the importance of various spices. These markets are renowned for trading between Europeans and Arabs since the olden times, and today home to traditional spices, oils and classic arts-craft.

After tour return back to hotel.

5.30pm. We take you to a vintage wood-lined theatre for a traditional Kathakali Dance Show of Kerala, completed with ancient story telling using intimate hand-eye coordination. Before the show begins also witness how the Dancers authentic make-up routine behind the stage.

+Day 3 ~ KOCHI to MUNAR HILL STATION (140Kms, 3-4Hr Drive) (B)

8am. After breakfast/check-out we drive you to Munnar Hill Station situated in the Western Ghats range of mountains and 5000ft above sea level and check-in at your Hotel. Rest day at leisure.

Rest of the Day free to relax or do your own activities.

+Day 4 ~ MUNNAR tour (B)

9am. After breakfast, we take you for Nature Walk to local Spice & Tea Plantations. Munnar was developed to cultivate spice and tea plants since the British Raj Era. Enjoy soft-trek, bird watching, taste the various spices and breathe in the fragrant air. Main spices cultivated here are ginger, garlic, cardamom, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon, coffee, tea, clove and nutmeg. Feel free to pick up a few packets of tea & spices grown here!

12pm. We take you for a Soft-Trek inside the Eravikulam National Park famed as the first and most famed national park of Kerala. Amongst other rare flora & fauna here, enjoy sighting Nilgiri Tahr - A world rare species of mountain goats found only here. Later we return to Hotel to rest.

Later we return to Hotel.

Overnight : Hotel in Munnar

+Day 5 ~ MUNNAR to ALLEPPEY (175Km, 4-5Hr Drive) (B+L+D)

8am. After breakfast/check-out we drive you to a jetty point in Alleppey. Upon arrival, we will check-in at your Traditional Houseboat locally called ‘Kettuvallam’ and begin your Backwater Cruise. Relax and unwind as your houseboat cruises thru narrow canals and scenic Kerala backwaters.

Enjoy Traditional Lunch and Dinner served onboard.

+Day 6 ~ ALLEPPEY to KOVALAM (180Km, Apx 3Hr Drive) (B)

09am. After breakfast/check-out you will be driven to capital of Kerala Trivandrum, Kovalam beachside town for check-in at your Hotel.

Rest day at leisure by the beachside.

+Day 7 ~ TRIVANDRUM Tour: (B)

8am. After breakfast, we begin sightseeing of Trivandrum. We visit 5000Yr old Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu- the preserver and protector of life. Nicknamed the Golden Temple of South India, this temple is the richest Hindu temple in the world. It is estimated over $22bn worth gold and precious stones are kept in its vault. Next, we visit inside 1880 British built Napier Museum and Sri Chitra Art Gallery housing over 1100 ancient works from Rajput and Mughal dynasty. Later we return to your Hotel for rest of the day at leisure by the beachside.

+Day 8 ~ Depart KOVALAM - TRIVANDRUM: (17Km drive) (B)

(At your flight time advised) After breakfast/check-out you will be transferred to Trivandrum International Airport for your return flight home.
