+Day 1 ~ Arrive Bangalore

(ETA: At your arrival flight time, advised) in ‘Bangalore’ you will be met and transferred to your hotel for checkin.

Overnight: Hotel in Bangalore.

+Day 2 ~ Bangalore (B)

9am. After breakfast, we begin your half day tour of Bangalore visiting inside a beautiful colonial styled St Marks Cathedral that was consecrated by bishop of Calcutta in 1816. Next we walk thru Queens Park area to witness the famed Queen Victoria Statue and father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi Statue. Continuing tour & pass by a red colored colonial-era building of Government Archaeological Museum and visit inside. This 1877-built museum houses rare collection of ancient coins and artifacts dating back 5000Yr old Indus Valley Civilization. Later we continue to visit the heart of city Cubbon Park that has famed Bangalore as the ‘Garden City of India’. The park stretches over 300acres and houses various Government Buildings for you to explore (from outside). Here we witness a Dravidian style building Vidhana Soudha aka the seat of state legislature, and red stoned High Court built in a Graeco-roman architecture. Continuing drive across four decade old M. Chinnaswamy Cricket Stadium home of team ‘Royal Challengers Bangalore’. Stroll down to MG Road named after initials of father of nation Mahatma Gandhi. Being the busiest roads in the city, it offers everything from traditional souvenirs, theatres to colonial café shops. Here enjoy time at leisure, once ready we return to Hotel for rest.

+Day 3 ~ Bangalore / Mysore via Srirangapatnam (139 kms, appx. 3 hrs drive) (B)

8am. After breakfast/check-out we drive you to the city of palace Mysore that is set in the base of Chamundi Hills and one of India’s famed heritage city. Enroute we visit deserted town of Srirangapatnam located on an island in the holy Kaveri River. Here we tour inside an ancient Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple consecrated in 984AD and dedicated to Hindu ‘Lord Vishnu’- the protector of universe. Here we also visit an impeccably detailed Mausoleum of Tipu Sultan aka the ruler of Kingdom of Mysore (1782-1799). Afterwards we continue drive to Mysore. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative for check-in at Hotel.

2pm. We begin your afternoon sightseeing tour of heritage city of Mysore. We visit inside Mysore Palace - the official residence of ‘Royal Family of Mysore’ who ruled the princely state 1399 to 1950. The palace is an Indo-Saracenic masterpiece, having blends of Hindu, Muslim, Rajput, and Gothic styles. Inside we explore its Museum housing some of world oldest artifacts and an intriguing collection of 700-plus ancient weapons. Next we take you to Chamundi Hill at a height of over 1000mtr and visit inside sacred Chamundershwari Temple dedicated to Hindu ‘Goddess Durga’ aka the great divine mother, and a 350yr old Bull Temple of ‘Nandi’ that serves as the vehicle of Lord Shiva – the creator and lord of universe. Once uphill we also enjoy panoramic sunset views of the city.

Later we return to Hotel.

Overnight: Hotel in Mysore

+Day 4 ~ Mysore / Ooty (159 kms approx. 4 hrs drive) (B)

8am. After breakfast/check-out we drive you to Ooty Hill Station located in the Nilgiri Hills of Western Ghats. Often called as ‘Queen of Hill Stations’, Ooty is a blend of Indian bustle and ancient temples with natural flora and charming British Raj Era houses. Upon arrival you will be met by our representative for check-in at Hotel.

4pm. For a magical Sunset Moment, we drive you to the highest mountain in Nilgiri Hills Doddabetta situated over 2600mtrs, and enjoy leisure time picturing panoramic scenery around. Here we visit the Telescopic Observatory.

Afterwards we return to Hotel.

Overnight: Hotel in Ooty

+Day 5 ~ Ooty / Coonnor (by toy train) > Coonoor / Coimbatore by Car (B)

9am. You will be taken for Morning Scenic Tour of Ooty visiting the 1848 built Botanical Garden famed as a living gallery of natural flora of the Nilgiris housing some of the oldest fossils some dating back to 20 million years. Next we take you on scenic Lake Boatride on Pykara Lake, and if time permits we continue spotting some more hidden Lakes of Ooty. Later we visit a local café Willy’s Coffee Pub to enjoy local Coffee/Masala Tea.

2pm. Get ready for the highlight of your trip as we transfer you to Ooty Udhagamandalam Train Station to aboard your heritage steam toy train of Nilgiri Mountain Railway to Coonoor Hill Station famed for the production of ‘Nilgiri Tea’.

The track runs 46 km and passes thru 250 bridges surrounding forested hills and tea plantations. This heritage journey started in early 1900s during the British Raj Era, and later gained popularity as a film spot from 1984 popular British film ‘A Passage to India’ by David Lean and today amongst several Bollywood films.

Hill Steam Train 661 (Non-AC 1st Class) ETD Ooty 3p > ETA Coonoor 4.05pm (or similar)

4.05pm. Upon arrival you will taken on a Tea Tour to 50yr old factory and estate Highfield Tea Estate. Here we witness the famous Nilgiri Tea Making Process. We start with the brewing stage by local methods, and we finish off with Tea Tasting. Later driven to Coimbatore (80kms, approx. 2 hrs) for check-in at your Hotel.

+Day 6 ~ Coimbatore / Cochin (193 kms, Approx. 4 hrs drive) (B)

9am. After breakfast/check-out we will drive you to Cochin aka Kochi famed as the first European colonies of colonial India. Upon arrival, you will be dropped at place to be advised
