The Golden Temple

We cover capital city Delhi influenced by 1630s Mughal Empire and 1920s British-Rule We travel to the holiest city of Sikhism Amritsar to evoke and explore its true spirits. Located in northwest Indian state of Punjab this is the home of world-famed change of guard ceremony border between India-Pakistan. And also a home of the Golden Temple famed as the holiest of the Sikh shrine, and attracts more visitors than even the Taj Mahal. We also visit Buddhist rich hill station Dharamsala aka the hometown of your holiness ‘Dalai Lama and surrounded by the splendor of Himalayan landscapes and Buddhist monasteries. This trip will take you back how the British rulers enjoyed spending holidays in Northern India.
ETA flight to be advised Upon arrival in capital city of Delhi you will be met / greeted & welcomed by our manager and then transferred to Hotel for checkin.
Rest of the day free to relax or do your own activities.
Overnight : Hotel In Delhi8am. After your Breakfast, we begin our heritage tour with Old Delhi city. We visit inside India’s oldest & largest mosque Jama Masjid. From here we hop-on a local tricycle to enjoy Rickshaw Ride thru narrow bazaar markets of Chandni Chowk. Here we also taste local pancakes Samosa & masala tea Chai. As you will ride enjoy sighting local life, spice traders, fresh fruit/incense vendors, traditional houses to temples, holy cows to macaques Not to forget we also have a photo-stop outside residence of the Mughal Empire Red Fort.
1pm. We visit the New City visiting inside India’s popular Sikhism shrine Bangla Sahib Gurudwara where we also visit its holy kitchen Langar. Here thru-out you can hear continuous meditations by Sikh saints. Next we visit boulevard Raj Path to witness ‘Lutyens British’ era Government Buildings including India Gate, President & Parliament House (fm outside). After tour if time permits we take you to downtown city markets of Connaught Place.
Later we return to hotel
Overnight : Hotel In Delhi6.30am. After breakfast/check-out we transfer you to Delhi Train Station for your train to Amritsar.
12029 Amritsar Shatabdi (1st AC Class) ETD Delhi 0720 Hrs > ETA Amritsar 1345 Hrs (or similar)
1.45pm. Upon arrival in Amritsar Train Station you will be met by our representative and transferred to your Hotel for check-in.
Rest day at leisure
Overnight : Hotel In Amritsar9am. After breakfast you will be taken for sightseeing of Amritsar as we begin with a temple tour inside Laxmi Narayan Temple dedicated to worshipping hindu goddess ‘Durga’-the goddess of wealth. Next we visit the memorial of Jalianwala Bagh where in 1919 hundreds of defenseless Indians were massacred by British troops on an auspicious day of Punjabi New Year on 13April. Next we visit inside the holiest of Sikh shrine Golden Temple. Here we also visit its Holy Kitchen Langar that believes in giving unlimited free food to the needy.
4pm. During sunset we visit Wagah Border of India-Pakistan to witness the exciting change of guard ceremony. (carry your passport id)
Later we return to hotel
Overnight : Hotel In Amritsar8am. After breakfast and checkout you will be driven to hill-station of Dharamsala set in the backdrop of ‘Dhauladhar Mt Ranges’ of Himalayas. Upon arrival we check in at your Hotel.

Overnight : Hotel In Dharamsala9am. After breakfast we take you for sightseeing of Dharamsala. We visit Dalai Lama’s Village aka Tibetan Children’s Village that is dedicated for the care and education of Tibetan refugee/orphaned children. Next we drive you to town of McLeodgunj in the suburbs of Dharamsala. Here we visit Tsuglagkhang Complex where we explore its Tsuglagkhang Tibetan Temple, Tibetan Museum, a local Tibetan Handicraft Market and monastery of Namgyal Gompa where you can meet and interact with local monks. Later we visit St Johns Anglican Church, and hop-on a local Rickshaw to visit the medieval shrine at Bhagsunath Temple dedicated to ‘Lord Shiva’-the destroyer god who removes all evil from world. The sacred shrine here is believed to have strong healing properties.
Later we return to Hotel. After tour we will take you back to Hotel to relax.
Overnight : Hotel In Dharamsala(At your flight time advised) After breakfast and checkout we transfer you to Dharamsala Airport for your onwards return flight.
